When it comes to events, Vail offers the opportunity for families to come together and create memorable experiences that truly are like nothing on earth.
To kick-off the season, Vail Mountain welcomes Snow Daze December 9th through the 11th, one of the longest running event in the mountain’s history packed full of tradition. From the sponsor expo village where kiddos can find free goodies galore to the family-friendly concerts that boast big names like Michael Franti and Big Head Todd and the Monsters that start just as the sun is setting, Snow Daze truly is for the young and old alike.
Vail’s Family Holidaze takes Vail’s already iconic setting and adds family activities, the Kris Kringle Market, ice skating, tree lighting ceremony, winter solstice lantern walk, carolers, torchlight ski down parade and fireworks to help you and those you love the most celebrate the holiday season. Held from December 11th through the 31st, Holidaze events bring an even more festive vibe to the Yuletide.
Have your kids dreamed of the day when they could be within arms’ length of Shaun White and Kelly Clark? Look no further than the Burton US Open Snowboarding Championships. From the on-mountain slopestyle and halfpipe competitions and bustling expo village at Golden Peak to Riglet Park for the little ones, the Burton US Open is an amazing event that attracts guests and competitors of all ages from all around the globe.
While Snow Daze celebrates the kick-off to the season, Spring Back to Vail gives us a chance to be thankful for the amazing season that we had. From the 14th through the 16th, families can enjoy spectacular spring conditions and warmer temperatures on the mountain, followed by a fun expo village and entertaining pond-skimming at Golden Peak to end the day. Spring Back to Vail caters to families as you’ll be back at the hotel for a hot tub soak and dinner well before dark.
Whatever time of year Vail speaks to your heart, be sure that your family will endure an experience of a lifetime through world-class events only Vail can offer.
