2016-2017 Opening Day Announcement

Everyone at Vail Mountain is eager to begin the ski and snowboard season, and with more favorable weather expected this week, we are now targeting Friday, Nov. 25 for the resort’s opening day. We are dedicated to providing our guests with the best early-season conditions possible and will continue to focus our efforts on opening with a high-quality snow surface.
“We’re looking forward to a shift in the weather pattern this week to assist with resort snowmaking efforts and to another great winter season ahead,” said Chris Jarnot, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Vail Mountain. “We saw a very similar start to the 2007-2008 season, and the resort went on to receive more than 100 inches of snow by Dec. 12, contributing to a well-above-average snow year.”
We will do our best to accommodate all guest needs with this change to our operating schedule. If you have questions about upcoming reservations that you have booked with us for arrival in the next few days, please direct all lodging questions to our dedicated reservations team at (800) 594-0104. Lift ticket inquiries can be directed to (800) 842-8062 . They are equipped to handle any/all requests and assist our guests.
