1. Ice Skating at Arrabelle Square in Lionshead Village
Could you imagine a more picturesque setting to ice skate with your family? Take a spin under the beautiful architecture of the Arrabelle and take in all the sights and sounds of our Lionshead Village. The rink is open from Thanksgiving – Closing day from 1:00 – 9:00 p.m. Ice skates are available to rent as well as ice skating aids for even the youngest skaters. When you are done skating, be sure to stop in to the Tavern on the Square, adjacent to the ice rink, for a wholesome meal, delicious hot chocolate, and other beverages.
2. Activities at Adventure Ridge
Our premiere on mountain activity center is Adventure Ridge, located at the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola and Lionshead Village. With a multitude of fun activities like snow tubing, ski biking, and our brand new Forest Flyer, you and your family are certain to have an exhilarating time at one of the most beautiful places on earth. Make a night of it and grab dinner at Bistro Fourteen, and be sure to bring your marshmallows to roast over the fire on the deck at Adventure Ridge. Bistro Fourteen offers incredible views of Mount of the Holy cross and a 3 course kids menu for only $10.

3. Fuzziwigs: Vail’s Best Candy Store!
Fuzziwigs is a quaint, colorful store located at 223 E. Gore Creek Dr. Get lost in a world of delicious treats including candy from your typical treats to your more obscure brands and flavors! Also, ice cream and Dippin’ dots are available for purchase. Adults will be feeling nostalgic to find candy from the past such as Clark Bar’s, Zagnuts, and Red Hots!
4. Play at Pirate Ship Park
Located at the base of Gondola One, Pirate Ship Park is a creatively designed playground that has three deck levels, climbing nets, swings, picnic tables, and more. Children will have a blast burning some energy in this themed park which has been a Vail staple for years.
5. Scenic Walk along Gore Creek
One of the most recognizable features of Vail is the beautiful Gore Creek which traverses the Vail valley from east to west and runs directly through the town of Vail. A walking path has been constructed adjacent to the creek and offers a look into the bucolic side of our mountain community.
