Adventure Ridge at Vail

Jul. 5, 2013

Epic Discovery Vail Adventure Ridge is in the midst of its makeover this summer as we lead up to the opening of Epic Discovery in 2015. While Adventure Ridge is open for hiking, biking, horseback riding, slacklining, disc golf, trampolines and dining June 20th, the new Zip-Line and Aerial Challenge Courses are scheduled to open in early August.

The Zip-Line, designed and built by Zip-Flyer, will consist of four 1,200 ft lines that take you as high as 50 ft in the air!

The Aerial Challenge Courses, manufactured by Bonsai, are 2 ropes courses that are located to the north and south of the Adventure Ridge building – official names are still in the works. The South Course will be about 16 ft wide x 35 ft tall x 122 ft long and has three levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced, with 2 path options on each level.

All told about 100 employees will be involved with work at Adventure Ridge this summer. From the snowmakers that are relocating snowmaking equipment to the Holy Cross, electrical, heavy equipment and construction workers; all hands are on deck to get these new features up as soon and as safely as possible.
