There isn’t a bad view anywhere in Vail, but views just get better the higher up the mountain you go. For an unforgettable on-mountain dining experience, make Game Creek Restaurant your new regular. With sweeping views of Game Creek Bowl, Game Creek boasts five-star cuisine and an award-winning wine list in a European chalet inspired restaurant. Plus, you can only reach it via snowcat, adding a little magic to the whole experience.

Vail Village is always gorgeous, but it’s extra special during the holidays. There’s something in the air that inspires exploration, something that brings you closer to your loved ones. From December 11-21, Vail turns into an idyllic holiday wonderland with Vail Holidays. Visit the Kris Kringle Market to find a special (or last-minute) gift, handmade ornaments, delicious treats and more. A must-do activity during Vail Holidaze is the big tree lighting ceremony, which truly welcomes Christmas. Gather by the covered bridge and enjoy festive music as we officially celebrate the holiday.

Plan your trip so you can ring in the New Year, Vail style. First, check out the Torchlight Parade, where ski instructors and locals form a glowing train as they ski down Golden Peak with glow sticks. Tip: make sure to bring your camera for incredible photo ops! Then, stick around for our iconic fireworks display before you head into town to raise a glass to 2018!
