Conditions Update December 26
This skier enjoys fresh powder on Simba this morning
Santa sure did deliver yesterday with 8″ of snow in the last 24 hours. Not only was it a white Christmas, but it continued to snow last night totaling 6 more inches of fresh snow. Lionshead and the western part of Vail mountain recieved more snow then the east side last night, so if you’re looking for the deepest powder try going up Eagle Bahn Gondola. The best bowl to ride today will be Sun Down Bowl. A full explanation on the snow patterns from last night can be found on Vail’s Open Snow forecast updated by meteorologist Joel Gratz. It will continue to snow throughout the day so bring out those low light goggles. Go out and enjoy the powder today and look forward to more snow throughout the weekend!
