Conditions Update December 6
Blue Sky Basin is open!
With Blue Sky Basin open there is no question where you should head this morning. Yesterday morning, intermittent snow kept the slopes of Blue Sky skiing like butter. Pete’s Express Lift (#39) still had tons of untracked runs by the afternoon; I would suggest you get there early today. On your way there, be sure to ride Poppyfields East, which was groomed last night, for a nice warm-up. Two Elk Lodge is also open, in case you need to refuel after a long morning. Also today is the Super G in Beaver Creek starting at 11am, which is bound to be the nail-bitting experience that the Birds of Prey course consistently dishes out year after year, not to be missed! Finally, be sure to keep an eye for unmarked obstacles, as it still is early December, and the snow pack needs to fatten up a tad more. A forecast of snow for Saturday night, is bound to help with that!
