Conditions Update November 27
Back Bowls yesterday morning
Here at Vail we have lots to give thanks for this year, among them it’s the 71″ of snow that have fallen so far and it’s not even December!
Today we’ll have the perfect blue bird day to burn all the calories you’ll consume this evening. There’s barely a cloud in the sky, and there’s still more than enough powder left in the mountain. If these past few days were a huge powder feast, today is the perfect cherry on top of the cake that this week has been. If you’re up early, try one of the many pristinely groomed runs overnight. Northwoods for example, has a new corduroy carpet, just like The Slot in Sun Up Bowl; both are great runs, ideal for wide G turns bound to leave a smile on your face that will survive whatever topic Uncle Bob throws at you (for a full grooming report click here.) There’s a chance of some wind gusts (up to 30mph) so don’t let the balmy weather at the base fool you; better to throw that balaclava in the backpack just in case. Happy Thanksgiving from everyone in Vail! And remember, give Uncle Bob a hug, even if it’s awkward, and always leave room for dessert…
Decisions, decisions. Top of Vail at 9am
No shortage of powder stashes to let the powder hounds out!
