Conditions Update November 28

Sunny days are expected through Thanksgiving weekend (Golden Peak yesterday morning)
Looks like the weather had something in store for everyone this week. If you’d rather ski warm sunny days, as opposed to the frigid and snowy days of opening week, take out your colored zinc sunblock and polarized sunglasses as the next couple of days should see a return to more November-like conditions, with the only difference that Vail already has a mid-winter base of 27″!
Above-average temperatures should bring back–if only for a few days– memories of spring skiing (another storm is on track for early next week). Today is a perfect day to get a late start and let the snow warm up before hitting what could actually be corn skiing in the Back Bowls. If you are up early though, remember to go zipping through some crackling groomed runs before they get tracked out. Avanti, which runs under it’s namesake lift, has been groomed top to bottom last night. In Mid-Vail Ramshorn also got a new overnight carpet. Have a very happy Thanksgiving weekend!
