November 11 snow!
Another snow storm has been rolling through Vail since yesterday evening, bringing 5″ of snow at the 5am report with flakes continuing to fall steadily through midday. Photos from this morning in Vail Village and Lionshead by Andrew Taylor.
Looking ahead, weather models are looking positive for Vail’s opening day, Nov. 20. Here’s the Vail OpenSnow forecast:
“Looking ahead to the 9 days between now and opening day on Friday, November 20th, I see two more chances for snow. The first will occur next Monday night into Tuesday, and then we’ll see another storm across the west late next week, perhaps near or on opening day. Both of those storms are too far away for me to offer a detailed forecast, so check back often as I update this weather report each day.”
