Vail Mountain to Offer Top-to-Bottom Skiing and Snowboarding

VAIL, Colo. – Dec. 8, 2017 – On Saturday, Dec. 9, Vail Mountain will begin offering top-to-bottom skiing from the top of Eagle Bahn Gondola (#19) to Lionshead Village and Vail Village. The resort will open several key connector trails that allow guests to ski or snowboard back to Vail Village from the top of the west side of the mountain. These include Practice Parkway from Little Eagle (#15) to Cubs Way, Upper and Lower Village Catwalks to Lower Beartree and the Lionshead Catwalk to Lionshead.

With the expansion, Vail will offer beginner and intermediate skiing and snowboarding on 90 skiable acres. Skiers and snowboarders have access to the following lifts and 90 acres of skiable terrain in these areas on Vail Mountain:

• Eagle Bahn Gondola
• Born Free Express (#8)
• Little Eagle (#15)

All guests are reminded that they must observe all posted signs and closures, especially during the early-season. Closed trails may contain hazards due to early snow coverage. Accessing closed terrain is a violation of the Colorado Ski Safety Act and will result in the loss of skiing privileges and could involve prosecution and a fine. Also, uphill travel access is currently closed at Vail Mountain.
