On Saturday, Dec. 3, Vail Mountain opened Columbine, Cub’s Way, and Lower Lion’s Way. With the expansion, Vail will offer beginner and intermediate skiing and snowboarding on 70 skiable acres.
Skiers and snowboarders now have access to the following lifts and 70 acres of skiable terrain in these areas on Vail Mountain:
- Eagle Bahn Gondola
- Born Free Express (#8)
- Little Eagle (#15)
Skiers and snowboarders now have access to the following trails on Vail Mountain:
- Lower Born Free
- Cub’s Way
- Lower Lion’s Way
All guests are reminded that they must observe all posted signs and closures, especially during the early-season. Closed trails may contain hazards due to early snow coverage. Accessing closed terrain is a violation of the Colorado Ski Safety Act and will result in the loss of skiing privileges and could involve prosecution and a fine.
Please read Vail’s Uphill Access Policy fully before heading uphill! All uphill users are encouraged to call 970-754-3049 before each trip – find out where grooming operations are occurring and get suggested routes! For Vail’s official Terrain and Lift Status visit vail.com/terrain-and-lift-status
