Meet Jake: in training to be the next Vail Patrol Dog

Vail Ski Patrol’s latest recruit: 10-week-old Jake.

Jake, a yellow lab, got his first taste of snow at the top of Vail this morning. He’ll be working with trainer and Vail Patroller, Matt Whalen, to master obedience skills, get used to riding chairlifts and train in avalanche rescue.
