Opening Day is Nov. 16th!
It’s official. The date is set. Opening day will be here before you know it! Here are 7 things to look forward to this winter
1.Fresh snow and sunshine in the Back Bowls
Every so often, a couple times a season, snow overnight will give way to sunshine in the morning. Head to the back bowls right away to take advantage of the snow!
2. Quality time with our Vail Avalanche Rescue Dogs
Not only are our dogs are local celebrities, but they play a huge part in keeping the mountain safe! You can usually find them at Ski Patrol Headquarters at the top of Chair 4.
3. Reveling in the glory of a pristine powder day with your friends.
There’s nothing quite like hooting and hollering with your friends as you fly down the mountain.
4. 5 Star Grooming in the Back Bowls
Our legendary Back Bowls are now even more accessible with a 30% increase in groomed terrain. There’s more for everyone to enjoy, whether you’re a beginner or intermediate skier wanting to explore more of the mountain, or an expert who can’t get enough corduroy, make sure hitting the Back Bowls is part of your Vail experience.
5. Learning to ski!
Learning to ski is a challenging and rewarding experience. Luckily, we have tons of professional Ski and Snowboard Instructors to guide you through the process step by step.
6. Vail’s lively culinary and apres scene
From our re-imagined Epic Burger, new dishes at Mid-Vail, and the new Express Lift Bar, we have really upped the ante of our mountain dining experience.
7. Signature events throughout the season
Our great events kick off early season with the free concerts of Snow Days, and wrap at the end of the season with Spring Back to Vail. In between you can find more free music, athletic competitions, village activations, and more!
