Opening Mountain Top Express Lift (#4)!

Mountain Top Express Lift (#4) got a major upgrade this summer, converting it from a 4-passenger to a 6-passenger high speed chair. With these great early season conditions, we were able to open it for the 2013-14 ski season this morning, bringing us to over 650 skiable acres here at Vail with more terrain opening every day.

The most talked-about feature of the new lift is the conveyor loading system that has been proven at European resorts to help reduce the number of lift stops and slows – that means we’ll be able to get you to the Back Bowls that much more efficiently!

Since this will be the first time many of us have used a conveyor loader, we made an instructional video to give you a preview of what it will be like to load the new Mountain Top Express. Don’t worry, though, our lift operators will also be there to help guide you through the process!
