Vail Opening Weekend 2014

Fresh snow, tons of terrain openings – what a way to kick off the 2014/15 season at Vail!

We opened for the season Friday, Nov. 21 with more than 500 acres of terrain after receiving over 3 feet of snow in the week and a half leading up to opening. Early risers were treated to hot cocoa, burritos – and a guest appearance by the one and only Lindsey Vonn!

Saturday, Nov. 22 brought with it the opening of Northwoods Express Lift (#11) midday, bringing us to over 770 acres of terrain.

After a 6″ snowstorm blew threw Saturday night, the snow just kept on coming Sunday Nov. 23, allowing us to open Game Creek Express Lift (#7).

The snow is forecast to continue falling, so expect more terrain openings in the coming days!
