It’s hard not to get into the holiday spirit in Vail – the twinkling lights, blankets of snow, and European style pedestrian village can bring out the rosy cheeks in even the most hard-nosed Scrooge among us.

But you don’t have to be here during Christmas week to soak up the holiday spirit.

FESTIVITIES

Highlights:

• Crews begin putting up the lights, garlands, and wreathes starting in late November.
• Those here in early December can enjoy the nightly lighting of the menorah at the center of town during Hannukah, December 6-14.
• Vail Snow Daze, December 11 – 13, is the biggest early season celebration in the Rockies! Always a crowd pleaser, this weekend of live music is a great way to start of your season. Music acts will be announced this fall.
• Vail Holidaze, December 19, 20 & 31 includes the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, Lantern Walk, carolling and more.

Vail’s Daily Lift Ticket prices fluctuate throughout the season to account for our more popular time periods. So take advantage of the lower prices on Daily Lift Tickets in the weeks before Christmas – or just purchase an Epic Pass and pay one set price for unlimited access all season long.

You’ll also find that many of Vail’s lodging hot spots have lower prices and greater availability during these early weeks of December. With plenty of holiday staff already on hand as well as fewer guests in-resort, you’ll feel pampered beyond belief.

You’ll also find far more open reservations at your favorite restaurants in Vail. While our most popular restaurants are often booked solid during Christmas and New Year’s, you’ll enjoy more last-minute reservation options in the weeks prior.

Flying to Vail? Make your trip even more convenient with a non-stop flight into Vail. A quick 30 minute drive to the slopes, some flight schedules even allow you time to get on-mountain the day you arrive.
